Happy May!

Introducing Blooper the squid. Blooper was a quick and fun character to make. I actually made a mathematical error in my calculations so my squid ended up with only 7 legs instead of 8. Which, including the arms, makes for a total of 9 tentacles instead of 10. Regardless, I am very happy with the way that he turned out.

Also, I was interested in coming up with this pattern because it was sort of a test run for how I will do my Ursula for my Little Mermaid set – which is coming up next after Beauty and the Beast. So all I need to do is come up with my fuller chibi base but when I get to the hips rather than create the legs create tentacles instead!

The approximate measurements using DK yarn and 5mm hook are 3.5 inches height, 2 inches width and 6 inches length/depth.

I have rambled on long enough. If you have any difficulties with this pattern just message me and I will be happy to assist.
