Good morning!

How are we halfway through September already?! Time really has got away from me. Nevertheless, the Flounder pattern is finally here and I am so happy with how he turned out. Every time I turn around my son has him in his hand to admire so I think he gives it his stamp of approval. Once the body was done the rest was pretty easy with exception to the tail, which is a bit more complicated in order for me to achieve the right “fanned out” shape. I wanted to achieve the classic blue stripes so has to get a little bit creative in terms of technique. I hope that I have made it clear enough for you to understand. As I stated in my previous post, due to having to wait for my Scheepjes Catona yarn to arrive I decided to do Flounder in DK yarn because I had all the colours that I needed at home. However, like with the rest of my Disney patterns, it is intended to use 4ply yarn with a 2mm hook.

The finished Flounder measures approximately 6.5 inches long, 5.5 inches wide and 5 inches tall when using DK yarn with a 2.5mm hook.
