Petey Piranha Crochet Pattern

Good morning my fellow crochet fanatics!

24/05/2021 UPDATE: I have made a youtube tutorial to assist you if there are any parts of this written tutorial that you need help with. There are three parts in total, you can watch part 1 HERE and part 2 HERE and part 3 HERE

The first pattern release for this month is Petey Piranha from Super Mario Bros.
This character was fun to make and fairly straight forward because I used the same pattern and technique that I used for my Piranha Plant. The only difference that I made is that I created a head half and quarter then connected them. Previously, I had created two halves and overlapped them to create the head.

For the lips, I just used two shades of green yarn and alternated for each row. The tongue is made using the same technique from the Piranha Plant too but it is shorter.

The approximate measurements using DK yarn and 3mm hook are 7.5 inches height, 6 inches width (arm span) and 4 inches length/depth.
