Yoshi was very fun to make and like with all my amigurumi I just loved watching him come to life. I contemplated whether or not to include fingers with this design and ultimately I think the fingers were a good decision because it adds that additional detail that makes Yoshi more realistic. For this pattern, I used the base pattern for Birdo (the body and tail, eyes and leg). I just made a slight modification to the eyes and the foot part of the leg pattern. The rest of the pattern was fairly straight forward with the most complicated part being the hands.
The approximate measurements using DK yarn and 3mm hook are 7.5 inches height, 6.5 inches width (arm span) and 6 inches length/depth.

DK yarn (green, white, yellow and orange)
3mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Fire retardant Fibrefill
White felt
Black felt
Red felt
Felt glue
Scissors
Pins (optional)
Stitch marker (optional)
Abbreviations
MR# – magic ring with the specified number of single crochets
*_______* X# – repeat sequence within the asterisks the specified number of times e.g. *SC, INC* x6)
CC – colour change
SS – slip stitch
CH – chain stitches
CH1T – chain 1 stitch then turn your work
ST/STS – stitch/stitches
FO – fasten off
