Happy First of the Month!
Its time for the third and final pattern release for the month – Shy Guy! There are some improvements that I really want to make to this pattern. Mainly, I am not happy with the size because he turned out quite small. I also want to adjust the “slouch” on top of his head so that it is a bit more slouchy. Once I make these changes I will be much happier. However, until then this little guy did turn out quite cute – what do you think?
I hope to make a second one and with this lockdown going on I may have time to do it before this pattern is released. But in the event that I am unable to, I will update the post at a later date to include both the bigger and smaller versions.
The approximate measurements using DK yarn and 3mm hook are 3.25inches height, 2.75 inches width and 1.75 inches length/depth.
Materials
- DK yarn (red, electric blue, camel and black)
- 3mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Fire retardant Fibrefill
- Felt (white, black, brown and yellow)
- Felt glue
- Scissors
- Pins (optional)
- Stitch marker (optional)
Abbreviations
- MR# – magic ring with the specified number of single crochets
- SC – single crochet (double crochet English)
- INC – single crochet increase
- #in1 – the specified number of SC in the same stitch (i.e. 3in1)
- DEC – invisible decrease
- BLO – back loop only
- FLO – row is front loop only
- *_______* X# – repeat sequence within the asterisks the specified number of times e.g. *SC, INC* x6)
- CH – chain stitches
- CC – colour change
- ST/STS – stitch/stitches
- FO – fasten off
