The first pattern release of the New Year is Bowser Jr. This character was quick, fun and easy to make. Overall, I am very happy with how he turned out. I didn’t have any fabric marker pens to draw the motif on the front of Bowser Jr’s bib but thankfully I had permanent markers which have worked quite well. However, I don’t know how well the colour will hold up and stay if it gets wet. The fingers on your Bowser Jr may curl, especially if you do the stitches too tight. If you starch them it will stiffen them enough to stay open. I got a bit lazy towards the end and decided to glue the spikes on using felt glue rather than sewing them on which thankfully worked out very well. So, if you decide to do the same you know that you can. I use Beacon 3-in-1 advanced craft glue and I swear by it. Everything is so secure – sometimes too secure especially if I want to take it off!
