I don’t know about you, but for me, time seems to be moving really quickly. I have yet to decide if overall this is a good or bad thing though! In a way, it’s good because I just can’t wait to meet my little princesses and am so over the swollen fingers and ankles! On the other hand its not so good because I still have a lot of preparing to do and things to catch up on. Anyway, the first of this months pattern releases is Princess Peach. Let’s face it, the Super Mario set would not be complete without the Princess that essentially kicked off Mario’s action-packed adventures. As always I tried to remain detail orientated which turned out to be a real pain when it came to the face and hair. I also initially used felt to make the eyes but in the end, opted to print them onto t-shirt transfer paper as I did with Mario and Luigi. You may see some pictures of these felt eyes before I changed them. I have attached the eye PDF file which is to scale (if using DK yarn with a 3mm hook) and includes all four sets of eyes – Mario, Luigi, Peach and Daisy. Another change that I made to this pattern is with Peach’s dress. Initially, I crocheted it using single crochet. However, when I made Princess Daisy I decided to change this by using double crochet instead. This gave a much better overall look in terms of the drop and flow of the dress. I believe that the most complicated aspect of this project is the hair. It requires lots of fiddly bits and joining. I have tried to make the instructions as clear as possible as well as including pictures. However, if you still are having some difficulty I am always available to offer assistance and clarify things for you. A tip for the hands: The fingers can tend to curl up and/or bend in the wrong direction. A way to prevent this is to stiffen them by using starch. This doll is not fully wired but does have a wire through the body and neck to keep the head up. Princess Peach’s overall finished height is 11.5 inches. Materials

If any of you are good at embroidery and happen to make Peach, I would love to see how she turns out (even if you don’t embroider I would love to see your Peach!). Practising and refining my embroidering skills is definitely high up on my to-do list. I think that it would add so much more dimension to my amigurumi. Until the next post, happy crocheting.! 1. I have paid the patreon price of $4 because I wanted the princess peach pattern. I have looked everywhere to find a really good pattern. But when I try to open it it says I need to pay $3 more. If that is the case I will just cancel my account. That particular pattern was the very reason I paid the price and was willing to continue paying that price for other patterns. Am I doing something wrong? Your help in this matter is very much appreciated. Thank you.

    • Hello, sorry for their error. I am not sure why it is saying that. The peach pattern is in the mini tier, so you just need to sing up to the mini tier to gain access to all the patterns in that tier. Are you still having trouble? You can also try the pattern on the patreon website https://www.patreon.com/posts/princess-peach-42182763

Please let me know if this works.
