HAPPY MARCH!
This monthโs mini tier pattern is Timon the meerkat from The Lion King.
The only mixed media elements to make Timon were the felt accents to create the eyes, eyebrows and back stripes. Despite the lack of mixed media opportunities in this project, I had a lot of fun recreating him.
I used craft wire to support the head and neck and thanks to Timonโs tail he is able to stand unaided (albeit a little bit slanted :D). I am in two minds as to whether or not I should brush out the hair to give it a more authentic look. What do you think โ yay or nay?
Also, I did cheat a little. Due and to my finger being a bit sore I ended up glueing the snout, nose and lip on rather than stitching it. Despite this, Timon still turned out great!
This pattern is a straightforward one and not overly complicated but beginner crocheters may have difficulty with the joints (ankles and elbows) as well as the fingers โ especially if you have not crocheted using my patterns before.
Timonโs overall measurements are approximately 7 inches / 17cm tall (including the hair) and 3 inches / 8cm wide (at the widest point).

IMPORTANT NOTE Just a quick note to let you know that my crochet patterns are typically shared as posts rather than PDFs, unless specifically stated otherwise. Also, please keep in mind that, just like my pattern posts for my Patreon subscribers, not all of these patterns have been formally tested. While I strive for accuracy, there may be minor typos or small errors. I work to correct any issues as soon as they are brought to my attention.
Doing it this way allows me to post two patterns a month because they are quicker to produce, are easily accessible and ready to view directly on my page. The posts can be printed if you wish. Unlike subscribers who lose access to posts if the subscription ends, posts that are purchased will have lifetime access. If youโre comfortable with this and excited to start creating, my crochet patterns are perfect for you! ย
