Happy July!!

It’s the final pattern in this Toy Story series and we are closing it off with Timmy the drummer boy. I cannot believe it has come to an end, but I am ready to start the next chapter.

A lot of small parts needed to be crocheted for this project, but overall, it does not take long to make. There wasn’t much opportunity for mixed media so Tinny is mostly crocheted. The hardest part of this project was the trumpet, I just couldn’t figure out how to do it in a way that could be easily explained. I think I got there in the end, but if not please let me know. The main problem was that I was trying to crochet it using the gold string which was too stiff to crochet something so small and fiddly. Once I switch to yellow DK yarn it was much easier.

As I’m typing this post, I am realising that the stick for the xylophone is missing so I suppose there’s an opportunity for a bit of mixed media afterall 😀

Overall Tinny measures approximately 19cm tall (including the hat), 7cm wide and 12 centimetres deep (front to back).
