Hammer Bros Crochet Tutorial

But I am glad that I have the rest of the month to focus on my upcoming releases. This pattern marks the end of all my Phase 3 characters. Next up in Phase 4 will be eight main character patterns such as Yoshi, Mario, Luigi, Bowser, etc. This Hammer Bro pattern is very similar to Koopa Troopa and in the beginning, I even contemplated putting the two patterns together.  However, in the end, I opted not to because ultimately after some investigation I decided that the Hammer Bro pattern would be made so that it is slightly bigger than the Koopa Troopa. The approximate measurements using DK yarn and 3mm hook are 9 inches height, 6 inches width (arm span) and 5 inches length/depth. Although the pictures are of Ice Bro, if you just change the main colour you can get all the different versions, i.e. hammer, ice, fire, etc. Just scroll for the pattern below… Materials

• DK yarn (dark yellow, yellow, beige and white. Also red, green, turquoise or blue depending on which Hammer Bro you are doing)
• 3mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Craft wire
• Pliers
• Fire retardant Fibrefill
• Black and white felt
• Felt glue
• Scissors
• Cardboard
• Pins (optional)
• Stitch marker (optional)

Abbreviations

• MR# – magic ring with the specified number of single crochets
• SC – single crochet (double crochet English)
• HDC – half double crochet (half treble English)
• hdcINC – half double crochet increase (half treble crochet increase English)
• INC – single crochet increase
• #in1 – the specified number of SC in the same stitch (i.e. 3in1)
• DEC – invisible decrease
• *_______* X# – repeat sequence within the asterisks the specified number of times e.g. *SC, INC* x6)
• FLO – front loop only
• BLO – back loop only
• CC – colour change
• CH – chain stitches
• CH1T – chain a stitch then turn your work
• ST/STS – stitch/stitches
• FO – fasten off

I think that if I ever started making Pokemon I wouldn’t know where to end because there are just so many! If I started making them I could possibly spend the next 10 years making Pokemon.
