Dr Facilier How-To Tutorial

Just remember to tag me or give me a mention as the pattern designer using @onescreativemind. © One’s Creative Mind 2023 Good morning lovelies I made Dr Facilier by altering the Arlo doll base pattern which can be found in my Etsy store here. I adjusted the pattern so that he has a more prominent chin and a longer torso, arms and legs. I will include this extended version with the original Arlo pattern in the next couple of days. Also, I will email the addition to anyone who has already purchased the pattern before the update. This post will include a guide on how to do Facilier’s hair, facial features (eyebrows, eyes, nose, moustache and teeth) and a detailed tutorial on how to make his suit and accessories. Also included is a downloadable PDF template for Dr Facilier which includes the jacket, trousers, vest, hat and mask. NOTE: In the pictures below, I have used 2 different shades of purple because that is what I had on hand at the time. BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES OF NAVEEN WHAT YOU WILL NEED: (Template size based on doll using 4ply yarn and a 2.5mm hook)

  • T-shirt transfer paper
  • Printer
  • Iron
  • Scissors
  • Felt glue
  • Black 4ply yarn
  • Purple felt
  • Lilac felt
  • Black felt
  • Red felt
  • Stiff black felt
  • White craft foam
  • Sewing needle or sewing machine
  • 3 fasteners (i.e. poppers, Velcro, buttons, etc.)
  • Black thread
  • Purple thread
  • Elastic cord
  • Scalpel (optional, to cut out the eyes and nose from the mask)
