Happy first of the month!

In this post, I will be showing you how to create Whomp King. I had a lot of fun creating him because it didn’t require too much trial and error. It is a very straight forward pattern, very similar to Thwomp – but without the tedious felt border to sew on. Instead of a border he just needs some arms, legs and a crown. I do feel that I may tweak the fists a little bit because I am not 100% happy with the thumb. However, I am very happy overall with how he turned out and he is one of my favourites to date. The approximate measurements using DK yarn and 3mm hook are 7 inches height, 7.55 inches width (arm span) and 2.25 inches length/depth. Materials

When my son came home and saw this little guy his face lit up so much! I love the idea that Mario brings back so many childhood memories for me and also brings my son the same amount of joy and one day even the same fond childhood memories that I have. If you are making this little guy for anyone special I do hope that their face lights up the same way that my sons did. Until the next post, happy crocheting! Chantelle X
