This pattern is a similar difficulty to the Frog Naveen pattern but uses a new technique – at least new for me. I have only used this method once before and that was a few years ago. In this pattern, I used contouring to get the eye socket and nose the correct shape. This method is where you use yarn and a needle to stitch and shape your work. I have done my best to depict this using pictures. However, if you have not used this technique before it may be worth you going on Youtube and watching a few tutorial videos first. Unlike with my Frog Naveen pattern, the head, body and legs are crocheted as one continuous piece. The arms are crocheted separately and attached afterwards. I used felt to add details to the eyes, such as the eye shadow, eyeliner, iris and pupil. Like my DK Frog Naveen, I chose not to wire my DK Frog Tiana but you can wire her if you want to. I suppose that it all depends on the purpose of your doll.

Please let me know if you have ay difficulty with this pattern. You can also send me pictures of any completed projects that you make using any of my patterns. I would love to see them.  Next months Patreon pattern is Louis Alligator. At the time of writing this post I have only made the one Louis and from what I can remember it is a long project that requires a lot of pieces to be sewn on. I am interested to see how long it will take when following the pattern. I am also interested to see just how big this DK version will be because the 4ply version stands at about 11 inches tall! Until the next post – happy crocheting!
