Freebie Friday: Foghorn Leghorn Crochet Pattern

Happy Freebie Friday!

My post is late…AGAIN! but at least I have released it on Friday. I had problems uploading the video but managed to resolve the issue thankfully. Today is the last Freebie Friday pattern release until the beginning of July, which is when I will start the weekly release of my Super Mario Bros. set.

The last instalment of the Looney Tunes Series is Foghorn Leghorn. Foghorn is similar to mt Yosemite Sam amigurumi in that his beak – which is his main feature – has been needle felted.

In this post, you will find the crochet pattern abbreviations, materials, instructions, some pictures and a video. The video is a time-lapse of me needle felting Foghorns beak to give you a general idea of how I did it.

I understand that the instructions are vague and not very detailed, but this is why it is a free pattern. In the near future, I do hope to record CALs (crochet alongs) for all my Freebie Friday patterns. This whole process, however, is going to take time. I am currently in the process of recording the CAL tutorials for my Disney Princess and the Frog series. My intention is to find time in between to record the Looney Tunes tutorials.

ASSEMBLY

Once you have finished crocheting all of the parts it is time to assemble your Foghorn. Use the picture above as a guide as to where you should attach all the various parts. Below is the video showing you how I needle felted the beak. It is not in the Video, but I also needle felt the wattles under the beak using red wool roving.

If you are confused or are having any difficulty with any aspect of this pattern, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always happy to help in any way possible. Alternatively, I would love to see any of your WIP or finished projects that you have made using any of my patterns.

I would also welcome any ideas for future Freebie Friday patterns that you would like to see.

Until the next time, happy crocheting!

  1. Hello,

I love the Foghorn Leghorn pattern. I wanted to check if you have had a chance to create the beak crochet pattern yet.

    Thank you.

    • Sorry for the very late reply. I haven’t designed it yet but I do hope to do a crocheted version for it soon
